Discounts were 'modest' last year
Apple is again planning to hold a Black Friday sale on Nov. 25th as it has in recent years, where buyers can "discover amazing iPad, iPod and Mac gifts for everyone on your list." The promo, which has begun to appear on international online stores, indicates that despite Black Friday being tied to the US holiday of Thanksgiving, Apple is again making the sale a worldwide event. The company's iOS devices were found to be the most-wanted gifts with kids and teens this year.
The promo gives no clear indication of what specific items may be on sale or at what level of discount, but Apple's 2010 BF sale was judged to be modest: $41 off the iPad, $101 off iMac and MacBook Pro systems, $21 off iPod Touch models and $11 off on the iPod nano, along with assorted minor discounts on Apple-made accessories and peripherals. Best Buy's leak of its BF flyer may indicate that Apple plans similar discounts as last year.
