Apple keen to avoid rapid turnaround
Originally expected this week, iOS 5.0.2 has been delayed, a follow-up story claims. The firmware is expected to fix battery drain problems not solved by iOS 5.0.1. As for the reason for the delay, Macerkopf reports that Apple is telling developers that bugs need to be fixed before the firmware can be made public.
Apple is said to be keen to avoid releasing v5.0.3 shortly after v5.0.2. There is no word on whether the company's longer-term project, v5.1, has also been postponed because of v5.0.2 setbacks. The v5.1 code will allegedly introduce several upgrades to Siri, among them the ability to toggle basic hardware settings using voice commands.
