Apple posts bugfix update for Final Cut Pro X

updated 01:30 am EST, Thu November 17, 2011

Resolves issues with fonts, playback, more

Apple late Wednesday updated its flagship pro video-editing software Final Cut Pro X to version 10.0.2, fixing three issues related to fonts, playback and stability. The update fixes a troublesome issue where fonts in a title will revert back to the default font after restarting the program, and is in addition to the significant updates made in v10.0.1 in mid-September that added XML import and export, Lion full-screen view and more.

The 10.0.2 update also resolves an issue that could cause files recorded with some third-party mobile devices not to play back properly, and addresses a stability issue caused by changing the start time on a Compound Clip. The update requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 and is recommended for all users. The update is available via the Mac App Store. A more significant update, probably numbered 10.1, has been promised by the company for sometime in 2012, probably during the first half of the year.
