updated 04:30 pm EST, Tue November 15, 2011

Xperia arc S, neo V now shipping in the US

Sony Ericsson on Tuesday began offering its Xperia arc S and Xperia neo V smartphones in the US as unlocked devices. The former costs $450 while the latter is priced at $350. The arc S gets a 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 2.3.

It brings with it Sony's Qriocity services, including Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited. It also sports an 8.1-megapixel camera with an Exmor R sensor that has 3D capability. A 4.2-inch, 854x480-pixel display is present along with an FM radio, and an 8GB memory card is bundled with the device. An HDMI output lets users connect it to HDTVs.

The neo V has a 1GHz CPU and Android 2.3.4. Its 3.7-inch display has the same resolution as the Arc S, but the camera is a five-megapixel unit that can capture 720p HD video and 3D panorama photos. Only 320MB of storage is onboard, but a 2GB microSD memory card slot is bundled with it. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and an FM radio with RDS are integrated as well. [via PhoneScoop]
