Belkin LiveAction Camera Grip and Remote live

Belkin late Tuesday took advantage of the updated camera in the iPhone 4S to release a pair of accessories for unusually dedicated smartphone photographers. The LiveAction Camera Remote uses Bluetooth to remotely trigger the camera on an iPhone 4, 4S, or iPod touch, letting the owner shoot family shots or off-angle like they would with a DSLR.

The remote has distinct photo and video buttons and has its own removable camera stand to prop up the Apple device during the shot. It can co-exist with cases and uses the LiveAction app (free, App Store) for its full feature set. It currently sits up for pre-order on Amazon (above) for a normal $50 price for its mid-December target, although it's already down to $40.

A simpler accessory, the LiveAction Camera Grip, is intended for more hands-on shooting and provides both a dedicated shutter button and a more ergonomic grip for one-handed shots. It too works with cases and the LiveAction app.

The Grip is already available at Amazon (above) for the same $50 official, $40 actual price. Both it and the Remote should be in retail stores for mid-December.
