T-Mobile adds 2nd Samsung tablet for Nov. 16

T-Mobile boosted its tablet roster yet again on Tuesday with a new model and more concrete details for another. Its version of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus adds the expected HSPA+ network link to the reborn seven-inch, Android 3.2 tablet. Software is also a custom mix with Blio's e-reader, WildTangent's free game platform, and Zinio's magazine reader loaded beyond what Samsung includes itself.

The hardware is otherwise familiar and carries a dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos processor, 16GB of internal space with a microSDHC slot for more, and both three-megapixel rear and two-megapixel front cameras. T-Mobile will sell it for $250 on a two-year contract with a rebate; it hasn't said what off-contract pricing will be, although it should be higher than the $400 for the Wi-Fi only version.

Its other known seven-inch table, the Huawei SpringBoard we tried at CTIA this fall, is also due to ship the same day. It uses a slower 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon and a lower-resolution 1.3-megapixel front camera but is otherwise close to its counterpart. It will cost $180 on a contract with the same rebate.
