Apple grows in-store pickup, tries seizing iPhone 4S domains

Pickup now available across California
Apple has once again expanded the retail pickup options available from its online store. The option is now available across California, where previously only the state's Bay Area Apple Stores were eligible locations. The program started with just three San Francisco outlets. Earlier this week, pickup coverage grew to include New York City.
Separately, Apple has reportedly filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization, seeking to take control of several iPhone 4S-related domain names. This includes not only iPhone4s.com but six other URLs; in all cases, the addresses simply forward visitors to pornography websites. Apple is filing under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
While Apple is often eager to control its representation on the web, it hasn't always been quick to succeed. The company only obtained control of iPhone4.com in July, grabbing WhiteiPhone.com at the same time. The iPhone 4 first shipped in June of last year, while white iPhones went on sale in April 2011.
