Fujifilm intros photo frame with 720p 3D video

Fujifilm has just introduced its FinePix Real 3D V3 Viewer, which can show off 3D photos without requiring users to wear specialized glasses. The 7.2-inch photo frame uses a lenticular screen to achieve this effect and supports 3D still photos as well as up to 720p 3D movies. Fujifilm points out it's the first device of its kind to get an HDMI input as well.

The LCD screen has LED backlighting and 2.88 million pixels, up from the earlier, strictly VGA (307,200 pixels) output of before. Two-dimensional movies and photos will show at up to a 10000x10000 resolution if the device allows. Stereo speakers are also built in.

Fujifilm's own Real 3D W3 3D camera can be connected to the frame using HDMI, although non-Fujifilm devices will work as well. A pocket tripod and remote control come in the box, and it comes with both an SDHC memory card slot and 512MB of integrated storage.

Users can also play photo slideshows and WAV audio files as well as display a calendar, clock, and timer.

Fujifilm hasn't mentioned shipping dates or the price.
