Transformer Prime to first ship with Android 3.2

When the ASUS Transformer Prime launches on November 9, it will ship with Android 3.2 onboard rather than Android 4.0, Germany's TabletBlog reported. ASUS Germany itself hinted at this through its Facebook page, stating the device, along with the Eee Pad and Eee Pad Slider, will be upgradeable to Android 4.0. Exactly when such an update will be made available, however, hasn't been revealed.

The Prime Transformer's other hardware specs are already known and include a 10-inch touschreen as well as NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 (Kal-El) processor, making it the first to get the chip. It will also have a claimed battery life of about 14 hours as well and be just 8.3mm thick in its brushed aluminum body. A keyboard dock will turn the tablet into a netbook-like device.

More details of the launch are expected from ASUS itself next week.
