Recosoft announces PDF2ID Enterprise 3

updated 11:00 pm EDT, Fri October 28, 2011

Updates support for ID CS5.5, more

Recosoft have updated their professional-level PDF-to-editable-InDesign file converter, PDF2ID Enterprise, to version 3 -- bringing complete support for Adobe InDesign CS 5 and 5.5, variable page size PDF conversion (to CS 5.x only), automatic layering of text, graphics and tables, a new Graphic Options panel and much more. The program's latest update fixes some issues related to font mapping, and generally improves stability and conversion.

PDF2ID Enterprise 3.0 [website not yet updated] no longer supports PowerPC-based Macs, but does support Adobe CS4 as well as the latest generation. The new version now has frames linking across pages, interactive PDF properties conversion, text wrap around objects identification, image resolution up-sampling and image recombination (for sliced graphics). The new Graphic Options panel enables complex vector graphics to be converted to high-resolution images with alpha channels, and the new Formatting Option preference panel lets users handle formatting, tabel and cell properties, Frame Break insertions and paragraph/style properties.

Color profiles and general graphics preferences are now in a single preference panel, a conversion log is now maintained, the PDF conversion core has been significantly upgraded, and the program now supports multi-user configurations. The program requires either an Intel-based Mac running OS X 10.5.8 or higher and Adobe InDesign CS4 or later, or a Windows machine running XP SP3 or later and InDesign CS4 or higher.
