Leak: Samsung Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound still for Nov. 10

updated 05:30 am EDT, Sat October 22, 2011

Galaxy Nexus and HTC Rezound inbound Nov. 10

A leaked screenshot from the Verizon inventory has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the HTC Rezound are both still headed for a November 10 launch. The screenshot also confirms that both devices will be available for $300 on a two-year contract as had been expected. Both are flagship devices for each manufacturer and have generated considerable interest among Android fans.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is leading the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) charge as the first device run Google's latest version of Android. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz TI OMAP processor that also incorporates the same-dual core graphics processor used in the iPhone 4S. It centers on 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display, which, to the disappointment of some users, relies on PenTile imaging technology.

The HTC Rezound will continue with Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). The new smartphone is HTC's new halo device and features a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However, as with all Android 2.3 devices that run a second core, the additional processing power is not harnessed by the OS as it is not optimized for dual-core chipsets. HTC will likely be keen to push an update to the multi-core optimized Ice Cream Sandwich as soon as it can so that the device will be able achieve its optimal performance. [via Android Central]
