Verizon spoils expensive Nexus, Rezound plans

Samsung's Galaxy Nexus and HTC's Rezound have both shown up in Verizon's Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) list in what's a sign of them getting close and being expensive. Either of the Android phones could cost $300 on a contract and support beliefs that they'll both have LTE-based 4G, Droid-Life saw. The two also had their pricing start on November 10, suggesting that they might have been moved back to the middle of next month.

The two phones are likely to share some elements in common. Besides Android, the two should have 720p screens, with the 4.65-inch curved display of the Galaxy Nexus slightly larger than the 4.5-inch Rezound output. Both should similarly have dual-core processors. Samsung's may be more futureproof in using Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and NFC where the Rezound may stop at Android 2.3.

Samsung should show the Galaxy Nexus at its joint October 19 event with Google. When the Rezound will be made public isn't clear, but without a special event, it might not be made public until a few days before it arrives.
