Prefers separate website link to 30 percent cut
Rather than go along with Apple's requirement of a 30 percent cut of sales, Audible.com has removed the "Shop" button from within its app that linked to the company's website. Customers will now have to go through a series of steps to create a "Shop Audible" home screen link that will serve the same function on their mobile device. The change comes as Apple is beginning to enforce its rules requiring 30 percent of sales made through in-app purchase links.
Audible informed its customers of the change via e-mail, which includes instructions on how to visit the company's mobile website using MobileSafari or other browser and creating a home screen icon. Audible's parent company, Amazon, took the same route with its popular Kindle app for iOS devices, AppAdvice reports.
Apple executives have acknowledged that they do not expect all App Store publishers to go along with Apple's conditions. Most newspaper and magazine publishers have decided to go along with the conditions.

Isn't all of Audible's content already in the iTMS?
