Upcoming Fujifilm cameras to surpass full frames

Fujifilm is working on its own mirrorless camera system for shooters smaller than DSLRs, the company announced at a press event in Tokyo. It will differ from the current Micro Four Thirds systems as it will offer a huge sensor that is said to produce higher image quality than even full frame cameras. Also better would be the signal-to-noise ratio.

More details on the system are promised to be unveiled at the upcoming CES show in January. The cameras will be part of Fujifilm's X-series range and will be smaller than DSLRs. The first working models are expected to be unveiled in the spring. [via Impress]
