Google Nexus Prime possibly seen matching Galaxy S II HD LTE

Nexus Prime possibly spotted for first time

A self-proclaimed discovery has shown what might be the Nexus Prime. The partial look at GSMArena shows a full-touch device what's claimed to be a 4.6-inch, 720p screen, much like that in the Galaxy S II HD LTE. I shows an odd set of software-based bottom navigation keys that, if real, may be themed around Ice Cream Sandwich.

Although the site didn't get confirmation, Samsung is expected to use its older PenTile display technology on the Super AMOLED screen. The pixel layout creates a "fuzzy" effect but might not be noticeable on such a high resolution screen. At 320 pixels per inch, even the 4.6-inch screen should have a Retina Display effect where individual pixels are difficult to see.

If like the Samsung phone on which it's based, it should have a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos processor and the expected LTE-based 4G. Versions should be available for multiple carriers, but a Verizon model may have a keyboard to stand out from touch-only editions.

Samsung is presumed to be unveiling the Nexus Prime at its "Google Episode" Unpacked event on October 11 and could ship it to Verizon by November 3.
