HTC invites Beats-themed event in London
HTC UK has issued an opt-in event invite on Facebook to the launch of HTC with Beats Audio. It's happening at the Roundhouse in London on October 6 and will include performances from Fedde le Grand, Martin Solveig and an unknown headliner. It's expected HTC will use the opportunity to officially reveal the Sensation XL/Runnymede, the Vigor smartphones, or both.
Both devices run on Android, but HTC handsets with Beats audio could also be powered by the Windows Phone OS in the future. Some of these could be on-hand at the event as well.
The Vigor will have LTE-based 4G in the US and may be the second Android phone with a 1280x720 resolution touchscreen. It should get a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon CPU and a five-megapixel rear camera.
The Sensation XL/Runnymede may launch as the Bass, which would fit in with the Beats audio theme. Pre-official specs include a 4.7-inch, 480x800 display, a 1.5GHz single-core Snapdragon, and an eight-megapixel camera with 720p video recording.
