HTC Bliss and Runnymede specs leak out in full

Phones may launch as early as next week

New details of HTC's Bliss and Runnymede Android smartphones have been leaked. This is my next has posted full specifications for the Android-based smartphones as they will appear in European markets.

The Bliss, which targets women in their 20s and 30s, will come with a Qualcomm single-core 1GHz Snapdragon, 3.7-inch 480x800 LCD display, a rear-facing five-megapixel autofocus camera with 720p video capture, and a front-facing VGA camera. In addition to the phone itself, HTC will ship a "charm indicator" in the box. This is a small stand-alone device that lights up for an incoming call.

The Runnymede incorporates a 4.7-inch WVGA display, and a 1.5GHz Snapdragon. It will also sport an eight-megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p capture and dual-LED flash, and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone targets audio lovers. It is expected to ship with Beats Audio headphones, SRS Surround sound, dual-microphones, and will recognize when the headphones are plugged in.

The Bliss is expected to be officially launched at an upcoming media event on September 20. It is uncertain when the Runnymede will make its debut. It could be alongside the Bliss next week, or it might show up at the CTIA show in October.
