Latest Galaxy Tab variant to pass FCC tests

The FCC appears to have approved yet another Galaxy Tab 10.1 variant, which is equipped to run on T-Mobile's network. The tablet, which was filed under the model number SGH-T859, appears to match the external dimensions of the Wi-Fi and LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 variants, but with a GSM radio that supports T-Mobile's 1700MHz network, along with 850/1900MHz GSM, EDGE, WCDMA and HSPA networks.

After the Wi-Fi edition arrived on the market in June, Samsung has worked to equip its iPad competitor with 3G and 4G radios for a number of cellular networks. Recent announcements confirm plans to offer the tablet through NTT DoCoMo in Japan, along with Rogers and Telus in Canada.

T-Mobile has yet to formally announce launch plans for the Galaxy Tab 10.1. [via Engadget]
