OWC Turnkey Upgrades
MacUpdate has launched its Fall Bundle which includes Toast 11 Titanium and Data Rescue 3, while OWC has updated its Turnkey Upgrade program with new SSD options.
MacUpdate has released its latest software bundle, packing together 11 popular Mac applications for $50. The Fall Bundle includes titles such as Toast 11 Titanium, Data Rescue 3, FX Studio Pro, and Bookends, and offers a 90 percent discount from the combined value of each application. The sale will last 15 days and is set to end at midnight EST on September 22nd. In addition, the first 10,000 bundle purchasers will also receive a free copy of Printopia, a tool for sharing Mac printers with iOS devices.
480GB SSDs added to OWC Turnkey Upgrade Installing Program
The OWC Turnkey Upgrade Installation Program has been updated with new high capacity SSD options. The program, which offers a number of upgrades not available through Apple's online store, now includes the option to install up to three SandForce Driven OWC Mercury 6G Solid State Drives, These drives offer capacities up to 480GB, allowing customers to expand their iMac's storage to 1.44TB of flash memory. The Mercury drives also offer transfer rates of up to 550MB/s, twice the speed of the drives offered by Apple. Prices for the new drives start at $250 with a 48 hour business hour or less installation turnaround.
