TABLSKIN 2 overlay helps speed up iPad typing

Plastic skin enables touch typing without looking

South Korea-based TABLSKIN has introduced an accessory for the iPad that could replace optional attachable keyboards. The TABLSKIN 2.0 is a plastic template that is placed over the iPad's virtual keyboard and physically outlines each of the virtual keys. The skin provides a tactile sense of where each key is positioned, enabling touch typing without looking at the screen.

As just a small, temporary add-on, it can come with the iPad without occupying significantly more space, like a dedicated external keyboard.

The company is selling the iPad TABLESKIN 2 for $18 on eBay. The company plans on launching skins for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 models later this year.

    no offence

to the manufacturer or to those that like this but this does *not* "enable touch typing." You can't touch type on a sub-size keyboard, period. The iPad keyboard even in landscape is just not the right size, tactile feedback or no.
