ATC has announced that it will be holding free P2P and Mac forensic training to US State and Local Law enforcement, while SteelCloud has announced the launch of MobileWorks DE
With the help of a grant from the National Institute of Justice, ATC will be offering free peer-to-peer and Mac forensic training for US State and Local Law enforcement. Upcoming courses are set to take place in Fort Collins, CO on September 15th, Portland, ME on October 18th, and Fort Worth, TX on November 1st and 2nd. In addiction to general training, P2P Marshal and Mac Marshal are provided to participants at no charge. P2P Marshal can automatically detect, extract and analyze P2P evidence on a hard drive, while Mac Marshal analyzes Mac OS X file system images.
SteelCloud releases iOS management tool for Department of Defense
SteelCloud has announced the release of MobileWorks DE, a new mobile security management tool developed for the US Department of Defense. Available as a specialized appliance or as VMware software, MobileWorks uses the Good for Government enterprise-class mobile mail and personal information management system. The tool was created as a response to the approval to deploy iOS devices within the DoD and offers plug and play support for quick implementation.
