Samsung makes experimental launcher available

Samsung's San Jose Mobile Lab has released an experimental launcher for all Android devices that it calls Pure Breeze (free, Android Market). It is a customizable user interface, which replaces a user's default home screen, allowing them to organize their apps, groups, and tasks, and create shortcuts. It also adds a feature known as the 'Kite,' which is a customizable floating window, always accessible with one touch, that allows a user to quickly access all their deployed widgets and shortcuts. A video of the UI is embedded below.

The Pure Breeze launcher is available in two versions, a Lite and Full ($2), and which both work with Android 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 devices. The Lite version is free and has the same functions as the full version, but with some limitations on the number of items users can organize. Users can switch between the Pure Breeze launcher and the default home screen through the Settings application.
