Samsung 720p, dual-core mobile phone inbound
The rumored Samsung i9220 with Super AMOLED HD gets proof of its existence with its official Wi-Fi certification documentation uncovered. The documentation confirms that the device is a smartphone and that it has dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n, allowing it switch between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band in order find the fastest and most stable connection. The smartphone is said to be yet another variant of the Galaxy S II, but with some enticing enhancements.
The device has a retina display equalling 326ppi pixel density, but boasts a 1280x720 pixel resolution on a display with a dimension of 4.3-inches. It is said to run Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) and is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. Its rear camera is rumored to by 8-megapixels with a 2-megapixel front facing camera.
