Early Samsung slide shows 3 Galaxy S II variants

A newly leaked promotional image of the three variants of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone has appeared online at PocketNow. One each is visible for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. All three are expected to be unveiled by Samsung at a press event on Monday.

Each conspicuously drops the iPhone-like home button on the international S II and supports notions that Samsung is once again trying to avoid direct legal conflicts in Apple's home country. The AT&T model is nearly identical to the world version other than the navigation buttons, while Sprint's Epic Touch 4G version appears slightly more contoured. While still subtle, the biggest break is the T-Mobile version, which supports the view that it's the Hercules and packs both the larger 4.5-inch screen and 42Mbps HSPA+ data.

Verizon has said it won't be part of the Samsung launch, but it will release a similar device, perhaps under its own name. It may also turn out to be the promised Galaxy S II with an LTE radio onboard.

The other three seen here are expected to ship at each respective carrier in the middle of September.
