Samsung slips IFA device plans in own app

Samsung unintentionally spoiled its own plans for the IFA show in Berlin with graphics hidden inside its official Samsung Unpacked app (Android Market). References confirmed a new-generation seven-inch Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy Tab 7.7, as well as a Wave 3 running the latest version of Bada. A mysterious Galaxy Note has also been spotted, although whether it's a tablet, a phone, or even a smartbook isn't evident.

Little is known about either the Note or the Wave 3. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 by its name points to a slightly larger screen than the original Galaxy Tab, and it's expected to get the same dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos processor as the Galaxy S II. It will almost certainly use Android 3.2 and become Samsung's first small tablet with a real tablet-native interface.

Some if not all of the new models are likely to ship before the end of the year. Last year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab in September and had it ready for many countries within a month. The Wave 3 is unlikely to ever reach the US, but the Tab 7.7 and Note may appear. [via This is my next]
