Massive two-level outlet still under wraps
Apple should launch its second store in Hamburg, Germany on September 10th, sources are claiming. Supporting the idea is Tuesday's removal of the scaffolding in front of the outlet, which was previously in place for about six months. The Jungfernstieg outlet is still concealed by a black construction curtain, but the tip of an Apple logo can be seen sticking out from behind.
The new shop will be much larger than the current one in Hamburg's Alstertal Shopping Center. The Jungfernstieg storefront measures about 80 feet wide, but more importantly spans two levels versus the single floor occupied at the Alstertal location. Including the latter Apple has just five active in Germany, with cities like Berlin left unrepresented. Apple is believed to be working on a Kurfürstendamm outlet in Berlin.
