Samsung mends Galaxy Tab 10.1 TouchWiz video flaw

Samsung has quietly posted an update to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to address the tablet's graphical corruption bug. The unceremoniously titled P7510UEKME fix keeps the Wi-Fi version of the Tab at Android 3.1 and appears primarily bent on fixing the widespread flaw, which came with the semi-optional TouchWiz update. Owners who upgraded saw the display often rendered unusable until the tablet was given a reboot.

Owners only need to check for a software update in settings to push the 3.5MB upgrade, which should eventually come automatically. Samsung hasn't said when Android 3.2 will arrive but will require the TouchWiz update to get the new OS version, making the new fix vital.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE owners on Verizon aren't yet known to have received a fix, if one is necessary.
