Leaked video shows revamped Xbox dashboard

updated 06:50 pm EDT, Tue August 16, 2011

UI references 'discoverable' option

A leaked video allegedly shows the redesigned Xbox dashboard that Microsoft has continued to develop. The YouTube video presents a number of screenshots, pointing to the revamped layout that mimics certain elements, such as the tile layout, from the user interface style that first appeared in Windows Phone 7 and continued onto Windows 8.

The video also shows a 'discoverable' option in the settings, corroborating rumors of interaction between the game console and other devices. The company has already confirmed plans to integrate Xbox live into the Windows 8 experience.

Microsoft has yet to announce a specific release date for the revamped dashboard, however it is expected to be available in September or October. [via Winrumors]

    UGH!!!

Are you fracking KIDDING??? How fricking stupid are they up there? They've only made $613 million for the WHOLE FISCAL YEAR, you'd think their dumba$$es would maybe think that the tile look isn't working so hot....It's for this reason I dumped Microsoft. Absolutely no innovation...Yeah I drink the kool-aide...so-fricken-what? At least my products work as advertised.....
