Android-powered Oppo X903 gets 1GHz CPU

Chinese company Oppo has unveiled its first Android smartphone, the X903. The promised specs are fairly impressive, with a 4-inch IPS screen made by Hitachi and sporting a 10-point, multi-touch layer. It slides open to show off a hardware QWERTY keyboard as well.

The CPU is a 1GHz chip with fast enough graphics for 3D. A CNC alloy body results in a weight of just over seven ounces (slightly under 200 grams). Otherwise, it fits an eight-megapixel camera with 720p video recording, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and a customized version of Android 2.2.

Pricing and release dates are unknown, though the phone isn't likely to reach markets outside of China beyond unofficial exporters. [via GizChina]
