Samsung Celox due at SK Telecom, NTT DoCoMo

The Samsung Celox smartphone that first appeared last week has been spotted thanks to Japanese site Ameblo. The handset, basically a redesigned Samsung Galaxy S II with an LTE radio, will arrive at Korea's SK Telecom, as revealed by the provider's logo present on the rear of the phone. The large, iPhone-like home button is also gone from the front of the device, replaced instead with Android's standard navigational keys.

The handset, known by the GT-I9210 or GT-I9220 model number depending on the market, is expected to get a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor that might come from Qualcomm rather than Samsung, and 1GB of RAM. There is also 1GB of RAM onboard, Android 2.3.4, and 16GB of storage space. An eight-megapixel rear camera and two-megapixel front camera are also part of the specs and unchanged from the Galaxy S II.

Japan's NTT DoCoMo is also billed to get the device, though exactly when isn't known. It may show in modified form as Verizon's edition of the Galaxy S II.
