Cygnett, iTab_Grip launch Smart Cover-ready iPad 2 cases

iTab_Grip offers rotating hand grip
Cygnett has launched a new Smart Cover-compatible iPad 2 case, the SmartSound. It protects the rear and sides of an iPad, while leaving enough space for one of Apple's Smart Covers to stay attached. The case is built of flexible polyurethane with a frosted finish, an protects all of an iPad's ports. Its name stems from the handling of an iPad's speaker, since audio is redirected forward for better volume. The SmartSound comes in black or white, and retails for $40.
iTab_Grip is meanwhile selling the iTab_Grip Case for iPad 2, an update of its self-titled product. The case has a rotating hub on its rear that fits a person's hand, and includes a finger anchor. The hub lets people quickly change an iPad's orientation while also maintaining a stronger hold. Reflecting a corporate focus, the case uses inert polymers suitable for clean rooms. Like the SmartSound the iTab_Grip Case can also be used with a Smart Cover. It ships with a set of ring grips sized from small to large, plus a desktop stand. It sells for $55.
