V-Moda outs rugged, $230 M-80 headphones
Stylish earphone maker V-Moda has just released its most advanced set of headphones so far in the Crossfade M-80. The headphones resemble the company's Crossfade LP but are 53 percent smaller. They are rugged, meeting MIL-STD-810G standards, and use a steel frame, Steelflex headband, interchangeable brushed metal shields, durable microfiber suede and replaceable memory foam cushions.
Two Kevlar-reinforced microphone cables are included for compatibility with different smartphones. The 40mm dual-diaphragm drivers are housed in a V-PORT V3 airflow system. A 31-band equalizer was tuned by experienced musicians and producers. V-Moda bundles in a hard carrying case to keep them intact on trips.
The Crossfade M-80 is now available for $230.

Is M-80 ...
... really the best name for something related to hearing?
