White Galaxy S II to hit Europe in September
The 10 million plus Samsung Galaxy S II handset has now officially been given the white color treatment, giving Android users an alternative to the all white iPhone 4. According to Simon Stanford from Samsung's UK mobile division has said that the white model will arrive on the European market in early September. Further, Engadget has discovered that an AT&T compatible version of the Galaxy S II has also just paid a visit to the FCC.
The version spotted going through its certification process is labeled the i777, a previously unseen model. In addition to support 850 and 1900 bands in the WCDMA and HSPA spectrum, the device could also work on the Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. It is also notable as it will carry an embedded NFC chip for card-less payments.
