Flurry of software accompanies
In addition to OS X Lion, iTunes 10.4, iWork 9.1 and Safari 5.1, Apple has pushed out several minor software updates. These include the Server Admin Tools for Lion Server, which also incorporate Podcast Composer, Workgroup Manager, Xgrid Admin and the System Image Utility. The download is 193.25MB and will run only on Lion Server.
Another Lion release is a Java update. The file is an essential download, as by default Lion doesn't ship with a Java runtime. Once unpacked the code installs Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_26.
For Leopard owners Apple has released Safari 5.0.6. Though missing some of the features of v5.1 for Lion, Snow Leopard and Windows, the patch does improve the appearance of text with HTML5 ruby annotations, and address various bugs such as frames appearing in the wrong place with sites like Pandora. Web apps should now be more stable when using WebSocket with particular proxy setups.
A Windows Migration Assistant for Lion joins an equivalent Mac tool. In either case the software helps to carry settings and data over from a previous OS. The Windows software requires Windows XP SP3 or later, while the Mac tool demands Mac OS X 10.6.8.

Updates for Leopard?
Kinda strange to release updates for an operating system that old...
