Staff said to be ready for new OS
Apple has reportedly scheduled overnight briefings on Tuesday night for its retail employees. The staff are expected to use the time to prepare for the Mac OS X Lion launch, which is said to be set for Wednesday, unnamed sources have told MacRumors. The company is also claimed to have sent each store a Mac Pros preloaded with the upcoming OS.
Separate reports suggest retail outlets have already received hard drives that staff can use to load Lion onto the showroom Macs, while display materials are ready to be installed throughout the buildings ahead of launch day.
Although the Lion launch this week seems increasingly likely, it remains unclear if rumors surrounding a new MacBook Air or Mac mini will turn out to be accurate. Both devices were said to be set to launch alongside the new OS.
