Leaked images show iRiver smartphone, tablet

Images of two upcoming first-for-the-company products from Korea's iRiver have shown up on Korean website Cetizen. The images reveal an Android smartphone, the I-L1 or the Vanilla, as well as a new Android tablet, the ILT-MX100 or simply the iRiver TAB. Early specs of the devices are leaked, with the phone sporting a 3.5-inch touchscreen with an 800x480 resolution and either a 600MHz or 800MHz CPU.

Also preloaded are Wi-Fi, a GPS sensor, a DMB TV tuner, and Bluetooth. It would run the roughly year-old Android 2.2.

The TAB is said to sport a seven-inch touchscreen along with a 3G connection, a DMB TV tuner and a five-megapixel camera. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are there and 16GB of built-in storage space is present as well. The same Android 2.2 OS is present.

iRiver is known for making Android-powered multimedia players and these products would mark the company's first foray into the phone and tablet market. When they will arrive and what they will cost remains to be seen, but the images make it seem as if the devices are production-ready. [via Akihabara]
