Hackers target military contractor

Anonymous has continued its hacking campaign, claiming responsibility for an attack that targeted US military contractor Booz Allen Hamilton. The group reportedly posted e-mail accounts from 90,000 military personnel associated with the consulting company. Leaked accounts are said to include the Air Force, Marine Corps, Department of Homeland Security, CENTCOM, and SOCOM, among others.

It remains unclear if the leak will have any significant impact on Booz Allen Hamilton or the various government agencies, though the contractor has yet to make any public comments.

Aside from the e-mail logins, the hackers allegedly posted 4GB of source code from the company's servers, along with "some related datas on different servers we got access to," the group claims.

Anonymous suggests it targeted Booz Allen Hamilton because of the company's alleged role in the SWIFT surveillance program. The servers were said to be an easy task, having "basically...no security measures in place." [Via Gizmodo]
