Lenovo support videos spoil IdeaPad K1

The Lenovo IdeaPad K1 has been spoiled ahead of its official launch by Lenovo itself. The company has posted support videos on its US website running users through all of its primary features and functions. The tablet was known to be headed stateside with its recent appearance at the FCC, however, its formal unveiling would now appear to be very close.

The videos take users though a range of topics including Getting to know your tablet, Using your tablet, Lucky Launcher Widget, Lenovo App Shop, and System Update. A user guide has also been posted guiding users through the device in more detail.

When it ships, the IdeaPad K1 will center on a 10.1-inch 1280x800 multi-touch display and will be powered by a Tegra 2 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz. It will ship with customized version of Android 3.0. It will also incorporate a microSD card reader, micro HDMI out and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack.

Pre-orders on Amazon show the IdeaPad K1 16GB model shipping for $500. A 32GB model is also known to exist but has not yet been priced. [via Netbook News]

My friend recently bought a Lenovo laptop for his wife. According to him it was a POS, AKA a craptop. It wouldn't recognize its stock video card and required a swap out for another model of card. Needless to say his initial belief in their good rep inherited through IBM soured quickly. Hopefully this will be better, but it ain't about the hardware guys. It is the integration with software and the entire iPod/iPhone/iPad/iTunes/iOS ecosystem that just works.
    Zoinks.
