Motorola Droid 3 already up for sale on Verizon

The Motorola Droid 3 has gone up for sale on Verizon's website. It is available for $200 on a two-year plan plus data package, or it can be purchased outright for $460. As expected, it will feature a dual-core TI OMAP4430 chip and the same 4-inch qHD 540x960 display found in the Motorola Atrix. It also runs Android 2.3 and is global capable, suggesting that it virtually identical to the Motorola Milestone 3 that is launching simultaneously in China.

An 8-megapixel 1080p video-capable camera is incorporated into the back of the device. Full 1080p mirroring over HDMI is also built-in allowing users output videos as captured directly to an HD TV. Still photos are enhanced by facial recognition technology.

In addition to the standard wireless connectivity options, the device also supports DLNA for media streaming and sharing when at home. It ships with 16GB of internal flash memory expandable with an additional 32GB of memory via its microSD slot. It weighs 5.8oz. Its 1540mAH Li-Ion battery is said to be good for up to 550 minutes of usage time.
