Family Pack allows installs on up to six computers
R10Cipher developer Arten Science is now making a "family pack" suite of R10Cipher and cuteCipher (along with an accompanying e-book) available as a bundle offer. The R10Cipher product protects e-mail contents and files using a Public Key encryption system with 384-bit Blowfish security.
The company has also recently created a web-only version of R10Cipher for decryption only, enabling the technology to be used on any platform, including mobile tablets and smartphones. A free "Encrypt Only" version is also available for clients that wish to send sensitive material to an R10Cipher license holder.
Text can be encrypted and sent as e-mail directly from within R10Cipher, and the file can be copied across multiple platforms yet easily be decrypted by anyone who has the Shared Secret public key. The program supports batch encryption and is portable (no installation required) for use on USB "thumb" drives, with version supporting Mac, Windows and Linux. The Mac version also sports Twitter integration, meaning users can send a large encrypted message on Twitter that is automatically broken up to accommodate the service's 140-character limit.
R10Cipher requires (for Mac) OS X version 10.4 or higher, on either a PPC or Intel processor (G4 or later); XP or later for Windows; GTK 2.x for Linux. The R10 Security Suite is priced at $48 for the 6-installs license. Discounts exist for educational and charity operations, and trial versions can be downloaded from the company's website.
