Both cases offer Smart Cover compatibility

Two new iPad cases are now shipping, the modulR iPad 2 Case and the AViiQ Smart Case for iPad 2. The modulR case offers a hardshell design with accessories including car headrest straps, while the AViiQ case works as a back cover for the iPad 2 with or without Apple's own Smart Cover for the front.

The modulR case comes with fittings for a number of system accessories, like hand straps, shoulder straps, wall mounts, stands and headrest straps, while being compatible with Apple's Smart Cover. The system components work with both the new iPad 2 case and the Apple case for the original iPad, allowing multiple iPads to share components in a business or family setting. The basic iPad 2 case with a hand strap is $40, and a case and Anywhere Pack of accessories -- hand strap, wall mount, shoulder strap and headrest strap -- is $70.

The AViiQ case mixes ABS plastic with a solid anodized aluminum plate for strength in a thin -- 1.5mm thickness -- rear case that also works with Apple's Smart Covers. The aluminum finish can be color-matched to the color scheme of the user's Smart Cover to create a complete visual style, making the two seem like one piece. It is available in black, silver, blue, orange, pink red and green. The cases are shipping for $50 each.
