Music service said to be finally coming to US

Spotify is reportedly preparing to bring its music streaming service to the US sometime in the middle of July. Corroborating recent rumors, unnamed sources have told Noisecast the Swedish company is finally set to fulfill its promise of a North American debut, enabling users to access the European equivalent of competing US services such as Slacker and Rdio.

Alleged e-mails between Spotify and major record executives are said to shine light on the company's foray into the US market. The correspondence suggests the service may arrive at first as an invite-only beta, leaving the timing for a public launch unclear.

The sources also corroborate the rumors pointing to collaboration between Spotify and Facebook, pairing the social network with streaming audio features.

The service is said to be priced at $10/month, which equates to a slight bargain over the European pricing of 10 Euros (~$14 USD) per month.
