Incase intros minimalist Soundesign-series headphones

updated 03:25 pm EDT, Wed June 22, 2011

Models slated for fall 2011 launch

Incase is set to expand its headphone lineup with four new models that fit into the Soundesign series. The products feature minimalist design with hidden joints, low-profile ear cups, and a combination of black matte and gloss finishes. Users can also take advantage of inline microphones and remote controls for use with Apple devices and other supported products.

The company has yet to disclose specific details regarding audio presentation, though the headphones are claimed to deliver 'natural' sound without boosting or dropping levels for specific frequencies.

The Soundesign line includes the Capsure, an in-ear design with an oval shape; the Pivot, a lightweight over-ear option; the Reflex, a midsize over-ear design; and the Sonic, a larger over-ear headphone with titanium drivers.

The new headphones are due in September; pricing has yet to be announced.
