MainStage 2.1.3 fixes MIDI, Undo command problems

updated 12:30 pm EDT, Fri June 17, 2011

Logic suites largely ignored in modern era

Apple has posted an update for MainStage, the live performance component of Logic Studio. Version 2.1.3 is a relatively minor update, improving "overall stability" as well as fixing a handful of specific errors. These include bad display of Audio Unit plugin presets, and MIDI input being forced to channel 1. Perhaps the most critical fix deals with a bug that caused MainStage to quit when using Undo after deleting a patch.

The file is 222.1MB, and requires Mac OS X 10.5.8. Apple has for the most part gone quiet on Logic development, limiting most of its efforts since 2009 on cleaning up the software, transitioning away from PowerPC and implementing a 64-bit mode. No hints have been given about when or even if a new Studio might be released.
