Focus holds still, but pace increasing
Apple has released a fifth developer build of Mac OS X 10.6.8, reports say. The forthcoming update is now at build 10K540, and as before has no known issues. Apple is likewise asking developers to test the same components: AirPort, VPN, networking, QuickTime, graphics drivers and the Mac App Store.
While Apple's notes for v10.6.8 have remained relatively static, the new build signifies faster pace for the patch's development, since 10K537 was released earlier this week. Apple may be eager to get v10.6.8 finished, since OS X Lion is shipping in July. After that point Snow Leopard development will likely be minimal, limited to security updates and critical fixes.

Geez Apple...release 10.6.8 already!!!
Don't you know all your enterprise customers have 'forked' their image developent because you won't release device drivers and kernel updates to us despite shipping new Macs that require them? I know Apple is "not an enterprise compnay" but why behave like the Peanut Gallery?! Geez...
