Enhanced model includes silicon ear cushions

Jaybird has started shipping a new enhanced version of its JFS3 Freedom Bluetooth Headphones. The company had quietly been selling the JF3 since April but went silent as it implemented a fix for early complaints. The enhanced version now includes silicon ear cushions for a more secure fit.

The JFS3 behind the neck hedphones provide 15mW of power in 16-bit stereo over a 20-20,000Hz range. The microphone is embedded into one of the earbuds. Both talk and music play time are 6 hours. The ear cushions, which come in 3 sizes, are of a honeycomb silicon design.

The JFS3 headphones are available now through Jaybird's online store for $99. They will hit retailers' shelves in late July. Jaybird is offering the ear cushions free to US and UK customers who bought the earlier version of the headphones.
