Quirky outs Stance for iPad 2 cup-holder stand

OtterBox has launched its Reflex Series Case for iPod touch 4G. The case uses a crumple-zone protective design, constructed of Polycarbonate and Silicone meshed together in a single layer. It is felt lined for scratch protection and ships with a screen protector. The case can absorb impact to protect the iPod inside from drops or other shocks. It is a two-piece design, where the bottom half can be quickly removed for docking. The new case comes in black, hot pink/black and blue/black. It fits only iPod touch 4G iPods and retails for $45.

In iPad news, Quirky has announced an iPad 2 stand, Stance for iPad 2, which fits automotive cup holders and treadmill cup holders, and offers adjustable heights and viewing angles. The stand's arm is a telescoping design that allows for different heights and retracts into the base when not in use. The Quirky community involves designers and other participants to create and improve, then profit share in new products. The Stance will require 1400 commitments, discount priced at $28 before the product goes to production. The final price will be $30 once it ships.
