SkyDrive capabilities arriving in Mango update

Microsoft has provided yet another preview of the upcoming Windows Phone 7 update, referred to as Mango. Following Apple's iCloud announcement, Microsoft has quickly highlighted the cloud-based features that will be available on WP7 handsets. SkyDrive is touted as a competitive option, enabling devices to automatically upload photos to cloud storage.

SkyDrive albums are then accessible from the web, or from the Pictures hub that is built into the Windows Phone platform. The Mango update will expand the integration, enabling users upload videos or share photos via e-mail, text, or IM. Other enhancements will include document browsing, based on the folders that users have configured for their SkyDrive accounts.

Mango is expected to arrive sometime this fall.

    The new Microsoft

Definitively this is a new microsoft, it just took them a day to pretend they can copy Apple's features. Usually they took like a year to announce the copied features even if they never release them or never get them to work properly.

You on some time warp or something?

I dislike most of Microsoft's moves (just like most other huge company with a bottom line) but SkyDrive has been available for the Windows Mobile platform (I know it sucks Ok! - 10 year old tech) quite a few years before Apples Cloud thing.

Remember even Macnn admits Apple has come out with features after Google, and Microsoft.

So unless you know any secrets not told yet...

    - stay on the same time continuum as the rest of mortals.
