Microsoft shows WP7-based Xbox dash and

Microsoft at its E3 keynote planned a major overhaul of the Xbox 360 Dashboard to focus more heavily on media and compete with hubs like the Apple TV. The new Xbox experience now adds live TV and will let users see real-time streaming video. Few details are available, although live UFC fights will be available separately as a feature.

YouTube video is also coming, Microsoft said. The feature will be part of the video section and again doesn't have much detail, but it should use a native app instead of the web interface on a platform like the PS3.

The Dashboard itself has been revamped to use the same tile interface as from Windows Phone 7 or Windows 8. Games, movies, and other content are separated into their own sections. Bing voice search is now built-in and lets users look for a specific title, generic categories, and music. Results pop up in a visual guide.

Kinect Fun Labs now gives an area for short, contained experiences using the motion controller, such as creating an avatar based on your Kinect photo or drawing sparklers around a 3D scene created from portraits.

The combined experience is expected to come out in a fall update.

I'm happy with my PS3. No cost to play online, understand Microsoft. I don't want to pay for online play. Can you comprehend? Keep your Bing Bong c***, and give free online play.

    Window's Phone 7 like tiles?

What the f*ck? They want to put that sad a** interface onto the xbox 360? It's only been voted one of the WORST UI's on a mobile device and now they want to bring it to gaming? No thanks...
