May be targeting entry level smart phone market
GSM Arena has leaked pictures and preliminary specifications of a new variant on Samsung's Galaxy S II smartphone. Indications are that the phone, bearing model number I9101 may actually not be as powerful as Galaxy S IIs already launched by Samsung.
Screenshots show the I9101 as having an Imagination PowerVR SGX 540 graphics processor, an ARMv7 main CPU and 1GB of memory. The I9100, by comparison has a dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor. It is also unclear whether the I9101's screen is Super AMOLED-based.
Although the final specifications may be different, the I9101, with the current feature set, may be targeting the entry level segment of the smartphone market.
